What type of fuel do I use in my burner?

When creating gin in a copper alembic still, we need to apply heat. That's why our stills come with a burner.
We recommend using methylated spirits, also known as denatured alcohol. This fuel burns cleanly and is readily available.
Ethyl alcohol (ethanol) is a viable alternative but can be more difficult to find and is typically more expensive.
Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) can work if it has a concentration of 90% or higher. However, most brands in Australia are weaker, making this option less effective and not particularly cost-effective.
